PURPOSE AND REASON FOR EXISTANCE

Christian Service International is a nonprofit agency of the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, and is commissioned to oversee the Church's worldwide humanitarian programs. The operations of this agency are motivated by thankfulness for the abundant blessings of God.

The goal of Christian Service International is to relieve immediate and long-term suffering by providing medical and humanitarian aid, relief, and rehabilitation services in times of disaster, famine, calamity, or other stress or suffering. Community development services and projects may also be undertaken to improve health and living conditions in areas of need.

This purpose is being accomplished through committed men and women demonstrating the love of God, sharing and giving aid to those in need, promoting peace, goodwill, and the well-being and dignity of all people.

Christian Service International does not discriminate based on race, creed, religion, or nationality, and does not become involved in any political activities or seek to influence or interfere in any government's administration or policies.

MEDICAL SERVICES OFFERED

Some of the services sponsored by Christian Services International include:

• Medication, treatment and patient education for tuberculosis patients
• Medication and supplies for leprosy patients
• Nourishment, treatment, care and nutritional counseling for victims of severe undernourishment
• Latrine construction and sanitation improvement
• Hairlip repair surgeries
• Medical equipment and supplies for healthcare facilities

CONSTRUCTION SERVICES OFFERED

Emergency relief to communities experiencing large scale needs following:

• Earthquakes
• Hurricanes
• Typhoons
• Other storms

Infrastructure repair, construction of emergency shelters and reconstruction of individual dwellings.
