CSI's Purpose and Intent

The mission of Christian Service International (CSI) is to alleviate suffering and demonstrate God's love through various impactful initiatives.

Desert Oasis in Ethiopia

Community Water Station: Faucets, Sinks, Toilets, and Cattle Troughs

Clean Water Access

CSI addresses the critical need for clean water across many countries, significantly enhancing the quality of life for residents. Access to clean water improves public health by reducing waterborne diseases like cholera and dysentery, while promoting better sanitation and hygiene. This vital resource also supports agricultural productivity, helping farmers grow crops efficiently, thus ensuring food security and reducing poverty. Reliable access allows children to spend less time collecting water and more time in school, paving the way for a brighter future. Our efforts include repairing and constructing boreholes and pumps, drilling new boreholes, and building small dams and irrigation systems for long-term solutions to hunger.

Eye Clinics

CSI organizes and funds eye clinics in underserved desert areas, providing essential vision care to communities lacking medical resources. These clinics offer preventive care, early diagnosis, and treatment for conditions such as cataracts and dry eye syndrome, significantly enhancing residents' quality of life and educational opportunities. Furthermore, they raise awareness about eye health, helping to prevent vision loss and promote overall well-being.

Hand Powered Wheelchairs

Hand Powered Wheelchair

Hand Powered Wheelchair

We design and repair hand-powered wheelchairs to improve mobility and independence for individuals with disabilities in Africa. These lightweight and cost-effective devices are particularly beneficial in areas with limited access to motorized wheelchairs and healthcare services. By facilitating greater access to education, employment, and community engagement, our wheelchairs enhance users' quality of life and promote social inclusion.

Children’s Programs

CSI has developed various programs to support vulnerable and needy children, leading to long-lasting impacts. Examples include:

  • Osteomyelitis Treatment: Timely intervention for this serious bone infection is crucial to prevent complications and preserve function. We provide antibiotics, surgery, and supportive care to aid recovery.
  • Clubfoot Treatment: Early intervention, often through techniques like the Ponseti method (casting), or surgery in some cases, improves mobility and self-esteem while preventing future complications. These children heal quickly and can now live a normal life.
  • Harelip Treatment: Surgical repair for cleft lip enhances appearance and functionality, promoting effective feeding, speech, and overall self-esteem.
  • Dental Clinics: We fund and staff dental clinics that offer essential services, addressing common oral health issues and promoting hygiene education, which leads to healthier outcomes.
Orphanage In Africa

Food Supply for Orphanages

CSI addresses hunger and malnutrition in African orphanages by supplying staple foods. Many orphanages face resource constraints that challenge their ability to provide balanced meals. Our support ensures children receive essential nutrients for healthy growth and development, enhancing their overall well-being and laying the foundation for a brighter future.

Miscellaneous Programs

CSI identifies and addresses various community needs worldwide. We distribute food and blankets to those affected by conflict, particularly in harsh winter conditions. We have also provided wood stoves in areas experiencing power outages and donated blankets in countries with cooler climates.

Recognizing the importance of sanitation, we build latrines for schools and villages, promoting public health by reducing disease and fostering better hygiene practices. We also supply medications and medical supplies to remote health clinics and provide essential equipment for hospitals, ensuring underserved populations receive necessary medical care.

By collaborating with other organizations and dedicated volunteers, we strive to portray the Love of God to others and deliver essential supplies, improve food security, and provide warmth and comfort to affected individuals, including children and the elderly. Through all our efforts, CSI is committed to making a positive and lasting impact on the lives of those we serve.
